Clayton Boyer Clock Designs
This is "Simplicity."
As her name indicates, she is the easiest clock I've ever designed. The clock on the right is the original Simplicity. I started her one Saturday morning and by Saturday night she was ticking. By Sunday night she was complete. The dark hardwood version on the left has a key rewind system, and took me a bit longer. Both versions are included in the plans. You can see "Simplicity" in action in the video player below, or follow this link to the You Tube Video here: Simplicity
Be sure to check out the wonderful interpretations of "Simplicity" by other clocksters in this Flickr Pool: Simplicity Flickr Pool
John Hilgenberg's video features six of my designs, including the "Simplicity" on his educational video here: Wood in Motion
...and WOW! Lots of clockmakers have posted their Simplicity clocks in motion on YouTube (thanks, guys!): Simplicity Playlist on YouTube
Simplicity plans are available in TWO different formats. Please choose only one option:
The price of the paper plan delivered by mail is $42.00 plus shipping. If you would like to purchase Simplicity paper plans by U.S. mail, click here:
If you would like to purchase electronic plans in dxf format and receive them via email, you must:
1. Have a CAD program that can read dxf's.
2. Have a valid email address that can receive a 5 MB attachment. Add firstname.lastname@example.org to your safe senders list so we don't end up in your spam filter.
If you prefer the dxf/email option, you will not receive a paper copy by regular mail. Plans purchased with the dxf option will be delivered to your inbox as an email attachment after payment is received, usually within 24 hours. The price of the dxf plan delivered via email is $37.00.
